Isometric stretching (also called pnf stretching) is about using your body to give resistance to a fixed object or to a stretch. Isometric stretching is a type of static stretching (meaning it does not use motion) which involves the resistance of muscle groups through tensing of the stretched muscles. The exercises should be done slowly, with controlled movement, to get the best results.
